Intensive Care
Intensive Care
The Intensive care unit – adjacent to operating rooms to ensure maximum safety – has six equipped beds and ensures surveillance 24 hours out of 24.
For patients with unstable haemodynamics, the unit is equipped with a number of devices that can temporarily replace the cardiac function.
A programme of acute dialysis has also been introduced into the Intensive Care unit, to treat patients suffering from kidney failure, so they do not have to be transferred to other hospital structures.
Objectives reached in Intensive Care
- Fast-track – procedure for fast respiratory weaning
- Haemofiltration
- Recognition by SSMI (Swiss Intensive Care Society)
- Cardiac care in the intensive care unit
